...or something like that. Well, first you need to accomplish three things:
1. Figure out what kind of doctor you want to be
Start looking into what kind of work you want to do within the field of medicine. This might not be the typical, white lab coat-wearing physician commonly associated with a job in medicine.
2. Design an education path that matches your interests
Entering into a medical career means first going through a substantial education process. This process differs in length and intensity depending on your career interests.
3. Share information with other premedical students

Making Your Premed Rounds provides students interested in medicine with information about premedical requirements and careers in medicine. It also serves as a place for premedical students to engage in conversation with one another regarding the premedical track and medicine in general.
Part of this site is devoted to explaining what you have to do to prepare for medical school. This includes course requirements, extracurriculars, interviews, MCAT testing, etc. Do not be discouraged if you do not see yourself fitting the typical track provided. Outside of the basic requirements you have to complete for the application process, you should follow your personal interests as this will help you stand out as an applicant.
The other part of this site features information about career paths, from surgeons to family doctors to sports medicine specialists. There is also a "future scope" section devoted to three major topics in medicine: healthcare, the human genome, and stem cell research.
