But looking at specific careers and trends in the medical field now may influence your planning process for undergraduate education. Plus, it's always nice to have a goal in mind when your planning process spans nearly a generation of schooling.
There are two places you can go from here. First you can visit the Career Paths section. This section has brief summaries of various medical specialties, ranging from neurosurgery to sports medicine. The summaries contain a general description of the medical speciality, pros and cons, average salary, and major changes that are happening in the speciality.
The Future Scope section focuses on explaining why the nation's health care system, our understanding of the human genome, and stem cell research are going to provide major changes to medicine in the future. Here you will also find recent articles related to these topics posted weekly.
